IKO instructor & Assistant course
IKO INSTRUCTOR & ASSISTANT COURSE
We will run the Assistant and Instructor course at the spring of 2022. Dates 19 - 23 April for the assistant course and 25 - 29 April for the instructor course. On April 24, you can take CPR if you have not taken that course. If you complete the entire education, you will become a licensed IKO instructor L1. The education includes official course documentation and certification.
As a licensed IKO instructor, you hold kite courses according to the world's largest standard for safe education and can start your own business or work at kite schools all over the world.
IKO EXAMINATOR
We complete both courses ATC and ITC, also the CPR, with the very experienced IKO examiner, Maciej Wadolowski.
You learn pedagogy, education plan, safety, aerodynamics, weather and much more.

THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The IKO assistant and the instructor course are very solid. It is full days of theory, practice and actual course elements that are reviewed. You will learn about pedagogy, training plans, safety, teaching from a boat, self rescue, tides, currents, winds and weather.
Be prepared for whole days, from morning to afternoon daily, including evening work, self-study and theoretical tests. You can not do anything else these days. The entire training is 10 days, and extends over two weekends and ends with a training test.
If you do not pass the test or for some reason the weather and wind do not allow certain steps, you can do it afterwards, go shadow with an IKO level 2 instructor at an IKO center and complete your education.
At Blekinge Surf and Kiteboardcenter in Stockholm, among others, we have IKO level 2 instructors for this purpose.

You book by sending us an email HERE.
State which course you want to take: ATC (assistant) or ITC (instructor) or both ATC + ITC, even if you need to take a CPR course.
NOTE! Students who book both ATC and ITC will have priority.
We send out an invoice for the selected course. Due to the current situation, Covid-19, no payment needs to be made directly when booking. An invoice is sent out with a 30-day payment period, or, depending on when booking, the last payment day 30 days before the course starts. The booking is binding upon payment. The entire course fee is paid back if the course is canceled.
The IKO fee must be paid no later than one month before the course starts. After paying the IKO fee, you get access to study materials online.
CPR CERTIFICATE
You need a CPR certificate to join ATC & ITC. If you already have one, this must not be older than 2 years.
If you need to take a CPR course, you can do this with our examiner on April 24 between ATC and ITC.
Price CPR course: 1050sek.
TRAVEL CLAUSE & ILLNESS
If for some reason the examiner cannot travel to Sweden and complete the training, we will first try to postpone the date and return your money or transfer it to the next training opportunity. Review your insurance in the event of illness before the course so you can receive compensation if you become ill.
